We were awarded an Honourable Mention in the competition for the Building of Ostrava 2015
Stavbaweb.cz has posted the following about the complete restoration of the National Heritage Institute in Ostrava:
The renovated building of the National Heritage Institute in Ostrava aims to be a model of restoration of historical buildings. The listed building of the former health care facility in Ostrava has undergone a full restoration and renewal. The building became listed as a natural heritage structure in 2010 thanks to its unique inter-war architecture. The building was constructed between 1932 and 1934 in so called modern purism style. NHI prepared the restoration of the building as a reference example preserving the authentic appearance of the building. Its objective was to show how listed building can be restored in a quality and credible way. Restoration was designed in a very detailed way specifying precisely how to restore and renovate specific structure elements. The construction work took place from October to July 2015.
