There are lots of suitable plots for residential housing in Prague which include not only green areas or parking places. Unfortunately, some city councils like selling these green areas and parking places to developers. There are several brownfields as well. Jinonice Château with its outbuildings and farm facilities belong to the same category. The original idea of the Jinonice Château “rebirth” was based on restoration of this château into a luxurious hotel. Even the building permit was issued. But the economic recession discouraged the investor. Thus V Invest that bought the buildings in the 1990s decided to take a completely different, radical step: rebuild historical buildings into apartments and offices and renovate once famous brewery.
