Our proposal for a new housing scheme sensitively follows the existing structure of surrounding historic blocks and yards and works with the sight lines between various monuments within the local conservation area. The scheme is made up of a series of blocks which follow adjoining rooflines and a new accented building form rising above the roofs yet being unobtrusive on the skyline.
The scheme benefits from a quiet location looking over the new internal courtyards, in addition to long distance views over the surrounding cityscape.
I am the registered architect and university teacher, the working architect lacking theory who thus (occasionally) creates it (on his own); the principal, conceptual architect, visionary, philosophy and sociology adept and planner.
